Mount Batur is the second highest mount in Bali after Mount Agung. It has a height of 1.717 meters above sea levels.
The mount is good trekking spot for the beginners or people who have no experiences before it.
Because, its trekking route from start point to the peak of the mount is categorized in easy level where you must walk to hike along rocky and sandy track.
Start Point to Hike
Start trekking point of Mount Batur is located at Toya Bungkah Village, in the foot of the mount.
The point is easy to find. From Penelokan Village, you can go to follow the way to the lake then turn left in the T-junction.
From start point, you will walk to go through concrete way (approximately 3 kilometers) before getting into the real track.
Best Time to Start
As we probably know that Mount Batur is popular as for sunrise viewing spot. You should do a trekking in midnight to get a beautiful sunrise view on the peak.
Best time to hike from start point is at 02.00 am. The trekking activity probably takes time 1.5 – 3 hours to get the peak at 05.00 am, it really depends on your physical condition.
On the peak, you will see a stunning sunrise panorama with impressive clouds formation as like a white sea.
You can spend time there while enjoying cool atmosphere or having a breakfast which can prepared before trekking.
